Marcus sat in the office of his new casino. It had taken two years to build, but it was finally done. Had Marcus not gotten help financing the idea it may never have gotten done. Marcus went down to a balcony that overlooked the casino floor.
Marcus loved Las Vegas even when he roamed the streets at night it was still like it was day. Marcus loved the night, the place, the smell, he loved everything about LV except for one small thing, the people. Marcus hated people, he hated everything about them. They were like cockroaches that infested this Earth, they were destructive to everything around them in every way, even the animals no better then to interact with the disgusting vermin.
Just thinking about it started to anger Marcus, he had lived for 200 years and decade after decade humans just got worse and worse. Marcus got back to his business, well it wasn't really work he just liked looking over the people of the casino.
Marcus took a deep breath he needed to calm down he had planned to go on The Strip tonight and he needed to be as carefree as possible if he was going to get along with the disgusting animals that inhabited the streets. Being a vampire hadn't made him perfect it just showed him the flaws in everything else.
Marcus went down to the floor and headed out the casino, he looked around he was looking for others like him.

Risikia was hanging upside down from the awning of a building, jet black hair tumbling straight down. She saw movement, smelled something inhuman and leapt down, enjoying the rush. She was looking for work, and trying (unsuccessfully, for now) to way to get this man to find her a job. Further observation led her to believe that this wealthy man was a vampire; this would probably help. She crept forward, narrowly dodging people, eyes trained to the older man. She was definitely going to get a job today - either with this man, or any connection he might have for her. She would make him help her.

Marcus walked the streets, passing each Night World night club, he had no interest in them, and he was wearing a suit like always and that wasn't normally the dress for a night club. While he walked the strip he smelled something, something like him, he had meet others before but he was never able to make friends well as a human he was able to read people well so now whenever he looked at people the color of their eyes indicated how they felt. This made it so the auras he saw instead showed peoples intentions.
It was hard for people to sneak up on him but when they did that was one of those things he didn't take to well.
As he walked he noticed a group of people looking at him. They all dressed darkly, which normally meant it was going to be a mugging, but that was ok he loved muggings it was his chance to really be himself.
The group began following him so he decided to pull into an ally. The group followed him in, but there was something else, something different. Either way, now was his chance to have fun. He spun around to face the crew and before they had time to spit out a disgusting cheesy line, Marcus jumped three feet into the air and landed in the middle of the pack.
He used his strength and teeth to rip apart. When all that was left was the apparent "leader". Marcus smiled deeply, this man was about 6 foot with the build on a linebacker, that was to bad he would have to be allot stronger to make this fair.
The leader tried to back away stammering something about mercy. Marcus sprinted forward and shoved his hand through this man's chest. Marcus gripped his heart and pulled him forward.
"One less vermin in this world" Marcus whispered
He loved to tell the people that, it made them bloodshot with fear. Marcus gripped hard and ripped his the mans heart out of his chest. The leader lived just long enough to see his heart pump one more time.
Marcus smiled and pulled out a small metal shot glass from his jacket pocket. He drained some of th blood from the body and heart and drank. It took ten to twelve shots before he was finished.
All that was left to deal with was one more thing. Marcus took the human heart in both hands and placed it back in the mans chest. That was always a formal dramatic touch he liked.
Marcus looked to see the entrance of the alleyway.
Marcus could only say one thing...
"Crap"

Risikia had watched the entire one-sided fight with mild bemusement. She'd managed to pull her messy black hair into a ponytail; this made her look a little more daring with her ripped up back jeans and grey-and-red plaid flannel. When she heard the man say something - directed at her, no doubt - she grinned, revealing teeth that were slightly more pointed than any normal humans. A chuckle sounded deep in her throat.
"So, after you drain the blood and leave the heart, what happens?" she asked with a feigned light cheeriness that easily hid her distaste with talking to others, even Night People like herself; but of course her tone couldn't change the aura of discomfort around her. She leaned leisurely against the wall of the alleyway, surveying the scene before her with a pleased smile.

Marcus wasn't sure how he could possibly respond this was obviously a Night Inhuman but that never made things better. He tried as hard as he could but he couldn't see the color of her eyes or her aura. He was trying to focus harder and harder until he forced his nose to bleed.
Marcus wasn't good with girls unless he could see both their mood and aura, he might have been able to see her eyes but he wasn't going to risk getting to close. Marcus tried to say something but it only ever came out in a nervous stammer.
"I-I-I-I-I n-n-n-normally just leave th-th-the body be-behind" Marcus felt like an idiot this wasn't normal for him, he was usually able to keep himself together and calm and yet he was losing his wits.
Marcus was afraid, The Night World had laws, no one should find out about him, NO ONE. Although she had the smell of a Night all around her that could mean she was friends with one or had hung around with one for a few hours. That fear began controlling Marcus if he didn't get it under control things could get bad. Marcus could only think of one thing to do. There was only one thing to say no matter how stupid it would sound.
"What are you?"

"Just leave it behind?" Risika glanced directly at him, her brown eyes flashing blue in his sight - her eyes naturally changed color with her mood. For her, the color meant calm. She as handling this situation a hell of a lot better than this man seemed to be able to. "I think it would be better to get rid of it all together," she said carelessly, running her tongue along her teeth thoughtfully. Then she lapsed into silence for a long while, enjoying that he was panicking over her. Finally, she said, "Lycan."

A lycan, of course it had to be a lycan. Marcus had no love for lycans'. They were just humans that could become dogs. He though about what he just though, its a good thing he could keep his mind to himself. Marcus let out another deep sigh. This was going to be a long strange night. Marcus didn't normally run into others he liked to keep to himself.
Marcus hated meeting people, it was always awkward silences and crappy small talk.
"So girl what is your name?"

"Risika." Her eyes narrowed. "And yours?" Thankfully, she already knew what he was, so there was no asking that question. She genuinely disliked all Night Creatures equally, even her own pack - because they had sentenced her to death without bothering trial. She frowned in distaste, stepping away from the wall and offering the man before her a hand decked with a black leather fingerless glove.

Marcus warily extended a hand, he took Risikia and lightly shook it. The moment their hands touched Marcus was filled with every kind of sense. The sweet sent of blood filled him with a high that he didn't feel often. The flesh of even a Lycan was a sweet desert. He hated this feeling it was the sense of no control, he had no control over his environment.
He pulled his hand away. He needed to get out of this. He normally eat his food before it gave him the chance to give him this feeling. He used to drink Lycan blood when he lived in Europe and when they were fighting.
All Marcus could do was get away. He had to get away he wasnt about to let this feeling control him.
"I'm sorry miss but i have to go"
With that Marcus ran off like the devil was chasing him.

Risika watched him run off with a very puzzled expression, staring down the alleyway at the body. Without a word, she crept into the shadows, and changed at will into a wolf - and then, when the change was finished, ripped aforementioned body to shreds and completely dismembered it in her attempt to eat the man's organs. Granted, the heart was useless since that older man had contaminated it already. The bastard hadn't even said his name when she asked. Grumbling and looking miserable over all, she set out on The Strip to find some more prey.
Satisfied, she sat up and changed, wiping her mouth and chin off with her hands, and wiping her hands on her jeans. The black fabric hid the blood well; it looked only like a stain. Then, just as wordlessly, she started off again in search of a job. She wasn't one to give up on a quest, and she was dreadfully certain that she would see him again soon.

Marcus was choking down the feeling he had. He fell straight into his chair which molded to fit his body shape. He reached into his desk and pulled out a small bottle of pills. He had spent a large amount of his money on the Black Market trying to make a medicine that would subdue this feeling. He started to calm down, but he still had a strong craving for Lycan blood. A human just wouldn't do it, Lycan blood was strong, it was what Marcus found to be the real pure human blood. Even if it was tainted to Marcus it was so good.
He couldn't go back there, he couldn't go back to that he just couldn' t. Marcus brought back that small amount of human in him and fell asleep on an actually bed. He sleep deep into the night making sure that his assistant took control of things until he woke up in the morning.

Risika was in the casino now, talking to said assistant about maybe getting a room so she could stay. She technically too young to go into the casino - but the workers could easily be persuaded. She could sense that this was a Night People place, but she also could tell that human tourists were in here often. Throughout the night she wandered to her room, slept for an hour, then went down to the casino to work off the lethargic feeling she felt after sleeping in her human form. By the time the sun rose, she had slept for three hours and played for $20,000. She was surprisingly good at card games, even though she hardly ever played; and, especially since she didn't trust luck or Fate with anything.
The strange thing about not trusting Fate or luck with anything was that she had chosen Marcus's casino at random and was now leaving. Two days in Vegas with one outfit didn't exactly suit - she left early and came back from an outlet mall just outside The Strip and came back with a shopping bag full of clothes - having spent a good sum of the money playing cards. She lingered in the casino for a bit, still holding her bag, watching the activity.

Marcus woke up sooner then he would have liked, the smell of Lycan woke him. A Lycan in HIS casino, what did they hate life. Marcus forced himself awake the smell of Lycan just helped motivate him. He went out to the balcony he always did and looked at people through their auras. Only one person didnt change to a color.
It was her again. Marcus breathed deep, he would need to be at full focus if he was going to talk to this girl formally. He headed down to the casino floor to find her.

She was watching a poker game intently, a thin amused smile on her face; her shopping bag was clutched to her chest almost protectively. She jumped slightly as she sensed a presence coming near her, then reminded herself that she was in a casino, and it was completely natural to have random people walk up to the tables.

Marcus sat at his own poker table and put down 20 grand down.
"Lets raise the bid shall we." Marcus smiled smugly as he said this and looked across the table to the girl on the other side. He showed a devilish smile, he to see if she would back down from something like this, or if she even had the money.
