The city street lights were lit, the night sky with all its stars were cast into dark oblivion as the glow from the city arose. On a solitary street corner not a soul stirred as the lamps flickered, but in the distance a sound could be heard beating its way forward: “Thump, Thump, Thump, Bam-bam-bam, Thump, Thump,” continued the heavy beat. This particular sound was soon followed by a loud yell that eerily echoed the howl of a wild wolf. The cry was taken up, repeated, then just as suddenly depleted as the faint music once more returned. There was a hush that fell upon the expectant area, as if it knew what was going to happen next.
“Whoa!” Came a shout as a truck came speeding down the empty street. Numerous persons were in the back of the truck drinking a strange muddy concoction while the driver waved a leg-of-something recklessly in the air. They were the Wild Dog gang out on their nightly round. “Alright, Stop!” Cried one of the men in the back, just loud enough to be heard over the hoots, hollers, and roar of the music. The truck came to a sudden halt in the middle of the road. The people in the vehicle jumped out with other random shouts while the leader of the group rose slowly up from his previous sitting position to look down with prideful glee at the chaos before him. He grinned wolfishly and let out a howl that was soon taken up by those surrounding him. Once the last of the echoes faded, silence reigned expectantly. The leader grinned anew, happy to see his orders carried out so easily.
“Well boys, “ He said at last, his voice a mix of gravel and honey. “Tonight’s hunting went fairly well it seems.” A loud barking greeted this exchange of words, but the leader wasn’t satisfied with this insignificant amount of fun. “But I think that a contest is in order!” He bellowed above the noise which erupted further into ecstasy as the announcement. A lady sitting at the feet of the leader looked up, her eyes speaking interest. The leader grinned, “The first to catch lady Rela after an hour is passed gets a free kiss!” Rela growled, clearly offended by the childish act, but the others laughed in delight. Rela sniffed, jumped from the truck’s back, and shifted into a large wolf.
“Catch me if you can then,” she challenged before disappearing from their sight in the moment of a few seconds. Thus the chase began.

Sayla Cilvine was not happy. Well, to be more precise, she was never happy. She hadn't been in years, really. She was not happy about many a number of things, but for her, she was in a bright, cheery mood. Not that many people could actually figure that out, but that was Sayla for you. So, tonight, she was out. She had been visiting a friend, and was headed back to her hotel room, which she was staying at for another week over her break from college.
She was dressed in a black denim skirt, which was a few inches above her knees, a shockingly purple tee, and a net top over it. Her shoes were a pair of black leather boots with thick two-inch heels. She had a set of black fingerless gloves on her hands that almost looked like they were satin, but she wore no jewelry. Her silky black locks were half up and half down, though her long bangs never seemed to fall into her face. Her blue eyes were shadowed, though, and seemed overly tense in the way they scanned the street ahead of her. The only thing that really, really marred her features was the frown that drew out the harsh lines of her face, and the slight lines that said that she frowned far too much, and almost never smiled.

Kory sniffed the air, his mouth in a giant grin. He was in a good mood since he was on the hunt for a pretty lady, but if he didn’t catch lady Rela, he could always try another gal. Currently he was in his human form walking the streets of his favorite city. The air was fresh and clean with only the faintest trace of Rela covering its breezes. She really knew how to hide, that alpha wolf girl! Kory inhaled sharply while scratching at an itch in his shaggy head of dark hair. His dark eyes were bright as he caught the scent of another female… a female who was also a lycan. ”O joy, another play-date!” Kory thought, quickening his pace. He was wearing ragged blue jeans with a white t-shirt top underneath a black leather jacket. He had a chain around his neck that looked like a collar except for a small trinket dangling from it that was shaped in an odd, twisted silver fang. It was his family heirloom, the treasure of the Jamaica pack; even his Wild Wolf gang buddies were envious. Kory inhaled again, seeking out that one delicious smell from all the other special flavors. It was closer now, just around the corner it seemed. Hmmm… he hadn’t played this sort of game in a really long time, it would feel good to get back into it again.
((XDD totally opposite Ambrose, and totally an airhead ))

(Wow, yeah. He is an airhead! Haha....)
The slight breeze wafted the scents around Sayla, ruffling her hair, and catching her senses. She could smell - no, taste - another creature near her. It smelled like a lycan, and a male one at that. The scent of another Night Worlder was almost delicious for her - she rarely associated with them anymore, even when she was in a safe town like this one. But even so, it repulsed her, in a way. Sayla didn't like the Night World for the most part. And in actuality, she hadn't really come to terms with the fact that she was a lycan, which had been very disturbing to her through the years.
Sayla closed her eyes for a moment, taking in the air again. He was close...but how close, she couldn't tell, with all of the other scents around. She was rather hoping that he would go away, though. But, there were always other options if he didn't....

Kory stepped past the corner of a building, sensing with his predatory senses exactly where the female was. She was just there, he could almost "feel" her in a way. He chuckled deep in his throat and plunged foward.... straight into the girl. His senses obviously were not as accurate as he would like because they failed to tell him that she was nearly on top of him. The strangest thing however was how his hand went automatically to wrap around her waist so they both wouldn't fall.... and how his lips.... accidently brushed her. Kory leaped back a little, startled despite himself. He had wanted to appear cool, collected, in the zone, but isntead he'd been frightened by a little smooch! Was he pethetic or what? "Yo," He said, smiling slightly while eyeing the girl up and down. She looked good, really good. She smelled good too. Man, if it wasn't for the trace of danger he got off her, he'd probably ask her to hang with him right then right there!

Sayla stared at him for several moments, her blue eyes wide. Then she raised an eyebrow. "Well, you certainly know how to make an entrance," she muttered. "I wouldn't suggest doing that again," she added as an afterthought. She reached up and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. She could tell then and there, that he was the lycan she had smelled. He had the right scent, and exactly the right look for a stereotypical lycan, at that.
Sayla glanced him over for a split-second, but immediately decided that he wasn't really worth her time. She reached up and brushed her bangs from her face, though she really didn't need to. For a moment, she waiting to see if this male lycan, who had just kissed her, even without meaning to, could say something that could redeem himself. She sincerely doubted it, though.

Kory grinned at her, his incisors clearly showing through the smile. "I can tell you're not use to playing around," Kory commented, judging this purely from her reaction. What girl didn't want a kiss every now and again? And this girl, look at her, looking so official and so painfully wonderful... it almost made him want to challenge her just for the heck of it, but he didn't. He wasn't the brightest, but he wasn't the stupidest either, his natural senses were top notch, especially when it came to dealing with other beings.
"Look, no offense was meant... but maybe I could pay you back by taking you out for a meal?" Kory suggested, leaning forward, his brown eyes bright with amusement. Ah, a meal, that sounded good, but even better.... was one with her.

Sayla's blue eyes narrowed slightly. She surveyed the other lycan with a frosty gaze, crossing her arms over her chest and shifting her weight to one side. While for most, it was a casual stance, for her, it was more of a 'I'll think about it, but if I don't want to, then don't chase after me when I run' sort of stance. She raised her right hand to press her ring finger - and the class ring on it - against her lips.
"Well, I suppose, if you're buying....." she trailed off, her blue eyes almost icy hard still, "....then it probably wouldn't hurt..." she allowed her voice to fade out again as she watched him, almost judgmentally. But, even if he did end up getting on her nerves, a free meal was a free meal, after all...
